PASYFO: Your Personalized Pollen Allergy Management Tool Expands Globally
PASYFO, an advanced mobile application designed to help individuals manage pollen allergies, is now expanding its reach worldwide. Originally launched in Latvia and Lithuania, PASYFO provides accurate, location-specific pollen forecasts and personalized symptom predictions, making it an essential tool for allergy sufferers. The app combines precise pollen risk data with user-reported symptoms to deliver tailored advice for managing allergies.
The Personal Allergy Symptom Forecast System (PASYFO) has been operational since 2018 and is currently being updated with a new algorithm. This upgrade, along with global expansion, will enhance the system's ability to predict allergy symptoms and provide even more accurate pollen forecasts.
PASYFO integrates data from CAMS air quality and weather forecasts for Europe with a 96-hour prediction horizon. It also draws on high-resolution SILAM air quality forecasts for Northern and Central Europe and incorporates daily symptom summaries from the Patient Hay Fever Diary. This combination of data sources allows PASYFO to provide highly reliable forecasts, helping users better manage their allergies.
With support from Vilnius University, the University of Latvia, the Finnish Meteorological Institute, and the Austrian Pollen Information Service, PASYFO is set to become an indispensable global tool for anyone impacted by pollen allergies.
